From Nagpur to Igatpuri, the land will not have to be procured since the train would work adjacent to Samruddhi Highway. From Igatpuri to Mumbai, the land will have to be procured.

The high-speed rail network is expected to move from Wardha, Jalna, Shirdi, Nashik, Shahapur before reaching Mumbai.
