RITES Wins Rs 279.6 Million Survey Deal for High-Speed Rail Corridors

RITES Limited has been awarded a Rs 279.6 million contract by South Central Railway for conducting the Final Location Survey of high-speed elevated rail corridors between Hyderabad-Bengaluru and Hyderabad-Chennai. 

To ensure precision and efficiency, RITES will deploy advanced Airborne and Terrestrial LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) technology for high-resolution topographical mapping, crucial for optimising the rail alignment and infrastructure planning. 

The eight-month contract includes key tasks such as the Final Location Survey, Detailed Project Report (DPR) preparation, final alignment design, traffic survey, Right of Revenue (ROR) calculations, and a detailed cost estimate. Additionally, RITES will draft EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) documents to facilitate project execution. 

The contract, awarded by South Central Railway, will be formalised with a signed agreement in due course.
