Santosh Kumar Jha to Head Konkan Railway as CMD

With over three decades of experience in Indian Railways, Santosh Kumar Jha is known for his expertise in project management and execution. He has previously served in various important positions such as the Chief Administrative Officer (Construction) and Chief Project Manager of South Eastern Railway.

Jha is a Civil Engineering graduate from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras and has a distinguished career in the railways. His vast experience in handling railway projects and infrastructure development is expected to benefit the Konkan Railway immensely.

The Konkan Railway, a subsidiary of Indian Railways, is responsible for overseeing the development and maintenance of 741 kilometers of rail network along the Konkan coast. VECV Sales Rise 7.8 Per Cent In May 2026

VE Commercial Vehicles recorded sales of 7,978 units in May 2026, compared to 7,401 units in May 2025, registering growth of 7.8 per cent.
