Vande Bharat Train launches Lucknow-Patna route

The commencement of the Vande Bharat Express train service between Lucknow and Patna has been announced. It was revealed that the train would operate from Lucknow to Patna via Sultanpur and Varanasi.

The route survey for this service has been concluded by the Northern Railway Lucknow Division. The survey was carried out approximately a month ago by the Lucknow and Moradabad divisions of the Northern Railway.

Although the date of the launch has not been finalised yet, as per reports.

The Railway board has assigned the rake manufacturing work for the Lucknow-Patna Vande Bharat Express to the Rail Coach Factory. The notification for the same is expected to be issued soon.

It has been indicated in reports that the Lucknow to Patna route is likely to have a morning-hour service. The timetable for the new Vande Bharat Express will probably be determined based on the schedules of other trains operating on that route, as stated by a senior railways official.
