The Andhra Pradesh government has decided to buy 36 lakh tonne every quarter for various government works. It will soon form a ministerial panel to decide on the price of cement to be procured by the government. The road, port and airport projects including the Polavaram project and the construction of the new capital Amaravati will require significant quantities of cement.
