NTPC Green Starts 25 MW of Bhuj Solar Project

NTPC Green Energy Limited has announced the commercial operation of a 25 MW solar power unit at Bhuj, Gujarat, effective 3 September 2025. This capacity is part of the larger 150 MW solar project being developed by Ayana Renewable Power Four, a subsidiary of Ayana Renewable Power, which in turn is a wholly owned subsidiary of the ONGC–NTPC Green Energy joint venture.

The declaration marks the beginning of phased commissioning for the project, with the remaining 125 MW expected to come online in subsequent stages. The project contributes to India's broader goals of expanding its renewable energy footprint and transitioning towards clean power sources.

The Bhuj installation is strategically located in Gujarat, one of India's leading states for solar energy generation, benefiting from high solar irradiance and robust grid infrastructure.
