PM Modi To Visit Rajasthan, Unveil Projects Worth Rs 26 Billion

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Rajasthan today to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for development projects valued at over Rs 26 billion. His visit includes a public address in Palana, Bikaner, and a darshan at the Karni Mata Temple in Deshnoke.

Key rail infrastructure initiatives include the inauguration of the redeveloped Deshnoke Railway Station under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme and the launch of the Bikaner-Mumbai express train. Modi will also unveil 103 redeveloped Amrit Stations across eighteen states and union territories, costing over Rs 1.1 billion. These stations blend modern amenities with regional architecture and improved accessibility for Divyangjan.

He will dedicate six electrified rail lines across Rajasthan and lay the foundation stone for the Churu–Sadulpur rail line. These projects support Indian Railways’ target of full electrification, covering nearly one thousand kilometres, improving efficiency and reducing emissions.

Road infrastructure plans include laying foundation stones for three vehicle underpasses and several national highway upgrades. Seven major roadway projects worth over Rs 4.85 billion will enhance connectivity to the Indo-Pak border, boosting mobility and security.

Renewable energy projects include large-scale solar developments in Bikaner and Didwana Kuchaman, alongside power transmission enhancements by PowerGrid Mewar and Sirohi Transmission Ltd.

State projects include over seven hundred fifty kilometres of highway improvements and new nursing colleges to bolster healthcare. Water supply and fluorosis mitigation schemes are also planned under the AMRUT 2.0 programme.

This visit underscores the government’s commitment to infrastructure, connectivity, and clean energy across India, with Rajasthan playing a central role.
