RMC Secures Rs 50.17 mn Contract For Solar Mounting Structures

RMC Switchgears Limited (RMC) has received Letters of Award from Genus Power Infrastructures Limited (Genus Power) amounting to Rs 50.17 mn for supply of module mounting structures for solar installations aggregating one point one kilowatt (kW). The company submitted the intimation under Regulation 30 of the SEBI Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements Regulations, 2015 and disclosed the value in its filing to the stock exchange. The award reflects a commercial contract for mounting structures tailored to rooftop installations.

The contract specifies UND S_Panel mounting structure one point one kW and references module mounting structures with a minimum ground clearance of 600 millimetre at the lowest point from the roof surface, with configurations indicated at 600 millimetre and 1,200 millimetre. The order has been awarded by a domestic entity and is described as a supply order rather than a services engagement. Broad consideration for the order is Rs 50.17 mn as stated in the disclosure.

RMC said the receipt of the Letters of Award strengthened the company order book and was expected to contribute positively to revenue and growth prospects. The execution period for the contract is six months from the date of award and the company reported that the transaction did not constitute a related party transaction and that neither the promoters nor promoter group have any interest in the awarding entity.
