Shakti Pumps Showcases Solar and Micro-Irrigation at Kisan Mela

Shakti Pumps (India) Limited, a leading manufacturer of energy-efficient pumping solutions, recently participated in Kisan Mela 2025 at the Pune International Exhibition and Convention Centre (PIECC), Moshi. Recognised as a key agricultural exhibition, the event provided a platform for farmers to engage with advanced technologies aimed at improving productivity, profitability and resilience.

At the exhibition, Shakti Pumps showcased its wide portfolio of agricultural pumps, solar water pumping systems and micro-irrigation solutions, reinforcing its focus on supporting the Aatmanirbhar Kisan through efficient and sustainable water management. The company highlighted its leadership in the solar pump segment, backed by large-scale installations under government programmes such as PM-KUSUM and various off-grid solar initiatives, enabling farmers to shift from diesel and grid-based irrigation to renewable alternatives.

Ankit Patidar, Chief Marketing Officer, Shakti Pumps, said that micro-irrigation is emerging as the future of sustainable farming in India. He noted that the company’s drip systems, manufactured using 100 per cent pure polymer, are designed to deliver precision, durability and long service life, aligning with the ‘Per Drop More Crop’ vision by improving yields, crop quality and farm incomes.

During Kisan Mela, the company highlighted its advanced micro-irrigation systems, solar pumping technologies and modern manufacturing capabilities. The product display included round and flat drip lines, HDPE and sprinkler pipes, and a complete range of micro-irrigation products developed using state-of-the-art processes to ensure strength and reliability.

Live demonstrations of solar water pumps were conducted to familiarise visitors with benefits such as energy savings, consistent performance and low maintenance. Shakti Pumps’ technical experts were present throughout the event, offering personalised guidance to farmers on adopting modern, water-efficient irrigation practices to support long-term agricultural sustainability.
