Sinoboom CEO Highlights India MEWP Growth at APAOI Meet

Susan Xu, Owner and Group CEO of Sinoboom, recently addressed a celebratory dinner hosted by the Aerial Platform Association of India (APAOI) in Bengaluru, attended by over 150 mobile elevating work platform (MEWP) rental companies from across the country.

Marking her first visit to India in 12 years, Xu spoke about the positive energy within the Indian access equipment sector and the significant development she has observed during this period. She noted clear momentum in industry growth, rising awareness of safety, and increasing professionalism across the MEWP ecosystem.

During her address, Xu drew parallels between the early stages of China’s access equipment industry and the current phase of development in India. She highlighted how China’s MEWP market evolved rapidly over 15 years, driven by infrastructure growth, improved standards, wider adoption of safer working-at-height practices and the maturation of the rental industry.

Turning to India, Xu described the country as one of the world’s most dynamic markets, supported by accelerating infrastructure expansion, growth in warehousing, aviation, logistics and manufacturing, and a rapidly expanding construction equipment sector. She emphasised that Sinoboom is well positioned to support this growth.

Sinoboom currently operates with localised sales and service capabilities in New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Chennai, supported by a comprehensive MEWP product portfolio. Xu also announced plans to further strengthen the company’s presence with a full-fledged sales, service, parts and training centre in Mumbai in Q1 2026, which will serve as Sinoboom’s India headquarters.

APAOI, established in 2016, works to raise awareness, develop standards and protect the interests of MEWP owners, users, suppliers and manufacturers in India. The 2025 APAOI dinner coincided with EXCON, the construction equipment exhibition held at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre from 9–13 December, reinforcing the growing focus on access equipment within India’s construction and infrastructure landscape.
