CIDCO to auction plots for residential, commercial growth in Mumbai

The Maharashtra government’s city planning body, City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) has decided to sell 12 large residential cum commercial use plots at Kharghar, Kalamboli, and New Panvel in Navi Mumbai through e-auction. These plots range from 1,902.43 square metre (sq m) to 8143.3 sq m.

These plots will be allotted through the e-tendering and the e-auction process. The registration for the bidder will start from 15th June 2021. The e-tender process will be conducted from 15th June 2021 to 06th July 2021 while the e-auction will be conducted on 8th July 2021.

CIDCO Vice-chairman and Managing director Dr Sanjay Mukherjee told the media that this scheme will prove beneficial for the revival of the hampered real estate sector due to pandemic and prolonged lockdown and it will add up to the development of the city.

He further added that CIDCO has been consistently providing plots of residential, commercial, social, and cultural purposes for sale for the last few months.

CIDCO had come up with plots at the beginning of the year in Ulwe, Ghansoli, and Sanpada that fetched good prices. Further, he added that the scheme will satisfy the dreams of many people to own a rightful house in the city equipped with modern infrastructural, social and commercial.

Due to its suburban railways, highways, and network of internal roads, Navi Mumbai has gained smooth connectivity. Soon the city will have global connectivity, with the development of Navi Mumbai International Airport. Moreover, with the development of the Navi Mumbai Metro, the public transportation system will become more capable.
