DTCP seals four DLF 1 buildings for Gurugram building norm violations

Four residential buildings in DLF 1 have been sealed by the enforcement wing of the town and country planning department (DTCP) due to violations of building norms.

Manish Yadav, District town planner (enforcement), stated that two buildings were sealed as a result of a complaint filed at the CM Window, and two others were sealed for violations of occupation certificate norms.

He explained, "The department had issued show cause notices to the offenders, but they failed to provide satisfactory replies. The owners of the buildings had conducted illegal construction of rooms in stilt parking, and cutouts were covered in violation of the rules."

Information from the enforcement team revealed that after receiving the complaints forwarded from CM Window, show cause notices were issued by the district town planner (enforcement) to two property owners. Restoration orders were also issued, but no satisfactory replies were received. Consequently, G-19/17 and A-4/3 buildings were sealed.

Similarly, after obtaining occupation certificates, the owners of properties located at A-43/5 and A-35/16 in A-Block Extension of DLF 1 carried out illegal construction of rooms in stilt parking, and cutouts were covered in violation of the rules. An official stated, "Show cause notices and restoration orders were issued to both house owners, but no response was received. As a result, all four floors of house A-43/5 were sealed, and the first, second floor, and terrace of house A-35/16 were sealed."
