Elan Group Awards Rs8.4 bn Contract To Tata Projects

Elan Group has awarded Tata Projects a Rs8.4 billion (bn) contract to construct Elan The Statement, an ultra-luxury residential development in Sector 49, Gurugram. The project carries a total planned investment of Rs16 bn and is spread across approximately six acres. Construction work has commenced and the contract is among the larger residential construction assignments in the city. The development forms part of Elan Group's portfolio across residential, commercial and hospitality sectors.

The development comprises five towers with residences offering super areas from 4,285 sq ft to 7,270 sq ft. Each tower follows a two-residences-per-core configuration with private lift lobbies, aiming to provide enhanced privacy and circulation efficiency. The project design has been prepared by Benoy of London and landscape planning by SWA Group of California. The scope awarded to Tata Projects covers structural and core works and associated services required to deliver the complex to completion.

Rakesh Kapoor, chairman of Elan Group, said that Elan The Statement embodied the company’s ambition to deliver developments defined by design excellence and engineering strength, and that the start of construction reinforced the group's focus on disciplined execution and timely delivery. He indicated that partnering with Tata Projects was intended to help achieve global benchmarks across the project's planning, construction and handover phases.

Barun Pal Chowdhury, executive vice president and SBU head for buildings and airports at Tata Projects, described the assignment as representing the next generation of luxury developments in Gurugram, where design ambition meets execution rigour. He noted that Tata Projects has a track record of delivering complex, large-scale infrastructure with predictability, precision and safety, and that the company was committed to creating an asset distinguished by scale, quality and reliability.
