Lucknow approves township on Mohan Road

The layout plan for the Mohan Road township scheme had been approved by the LDA Board.

A residential plan inspired by the Chandigarh/Panchkula model would be developed on 785.026 acres of acquired land in the villages of Pyarepur and Kaliakhera.

The scheme aimed to provide residents with a modern and sustainable living environment. Additionally, it was stated that the scheme would offer 2,485 plots, with measurements ranging between 112.50 and 450 square metres, including provisions for economically weaker sections (EWS) and lower-income groups (LIG).

Furthermore, it was stated that the grid-patterned Mohan Road Scheme would be divided into eight sections. It was noted that each sector would include facilities for managing solid waste, sector-specific shopping malls, and spaces for vendors.

As part of the plan, a central park spanning 42 acres would also be developed. Additionally, it was mentioned that an expansive aquatic body would be constructed, covering an area of over 45,000 square metres.
