DRDO To Showcase Cutting Edge Technology At Motihari Exhibition

Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) will display its cutting edge technologies at a four day exhibition at Mahatma Gandhi Prekshagrih in Motihari, Bihar from April 15 to 18, 2026. The event will be inaugurated by Member of Parliament and Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Defence Radha Mohan Singh and will run on the theme Shanti, Satya Aur Vigyan Ka Sangam - Surakshit Aur Aatmanirbhar Bharat Ki Aur. The exhibition will foreground strides towards Aatmanirbhar Bharat and defence modernisation.

A wide range of models and products featuring advanced defence systems will be demonstrated, including an Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) system, the Akash surface to air missile and the Akash New Generation launcher. The display will also include the BrahMos and Prithvi missiles, an anti satellite missile and anti tank guided munitions such as the NAG and man portable anti tank guided missile (MPATGM).

Ground systems will feature the Pralay missile, advanced towed artillery gun systems, the Pinaka multiple launch rocket system and main battle tank (MBT) Arjun Mk I and II and the Indian Light Tank. Engineering solutions such as a modular bridging system, drone detection radar, Uttam AESA radar and holographic sight will be presented with naval steel and composite armour for wheeled armoured platforms.

Chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) protection equipment will be on show, including Automatic Chemical Agent Detection and Alarm (ACADA) systems, chemical agent monitors, a CBRN water purification system, a five kg backpack and an NBC suit Mark V. Protective gear such as blast protection suits and ballistic helmets will be exhibited alongside prototype and material technologies including a rapid prototype model of the Kaveri engine and its spatial reality display.

The exhibition aims to inspire the public and especially the youth for a closer look at capabilities that strengthen national defence. The Defence Research and Development Organisation hopes the event will encourage interest in defence science and technology and highlight collaboration and indigenous development opportunities. Visitors will be able to explore displays and engage with demonstrators during the days.
