Bhansali Engineering Polymers Commissions 1,300 kW Solar Plant

Bhansali Engineering Polymers has commissioned a 1,300 kW DC ground-mounted solar power plant at its manufacturing facility in Satnoor, Madhya Pradesh. The company said the project is intended to increase renewable energy usage across its manufacturing operations and reduce dependence on conventional power sources.

The project involved capital expenditure of Rs. 64.2 mn. It was established at the company’s manufacturing unit in Bhansali Nagar, Taluka Sausar, Chhindwara district, and has been commissioned for operational use.

Greenergy Solar Systems executed the contract, which covered the end-to-end design, engineering, supply, installation and commissioning of the plant. The contractor is an authorised channel partner of Tata Power Solar Systems.

Bhansali Engineering Polymers said the initiative forms part of its broader focus on energy efficiency, environmental sustainability and reducing operational carbon intensity. The company expects the renewable power installation to support a greater share of clean energy in its manufacturing operations.

The company’s shares closed at Rs. 124.70 on the BSE, compared with the previous close of Rs. 123.55. A total of 99,576 shares changed hands through 1,151 trades during the session. The commissioning adds a dedicated renewable energy asset to the company’s manufacturing infrastructure as it continues to pursue lower reliance on conventional energy sources. The Satnoor installation is also aligned with its stated sustainability objectives and efforts to improve the environmental performance of its operations.
