Malpani Pipes Gets BSNL Nod, Wins Rs 50 Million Order

Malpani Pipes and Fittings Limited has received official certification from Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) for the manufacturing of Pre-Lubricated (PLB) Duct Pipes—an essential component used in optical fibre cable network installations.
This certification marks a significant endorsement of the company’s production standards, enabling Malpani Pipes to become an authorised supplier for government-led telecommunications infrastructure projects. The company’s PLB duct pipes met BSNL’s stringent technical and quality criteria, showcasing its focus on engineering excellence and regulatory compliance.
Following the certification, the company has secured a major order for the supply of 242 kilometres of PLB Duct Pipes, to be fulfilled over a three-month period. The order is valued at approximately Rs 50 million and signals the company's official entry into India’s expanding telecom infrastructure sector, providing immediate revenue visibility from this new product line.
Commenting on the achievement, Mr Harsh Malpani, Whole-Time Director of Malpani Pipes and Fittings Limited, said:
“The BSNL certification and swift order acquisition reflect our strategic move into high-growth infrastructure sectors critical to India's development. Our venture into telecom infrastructure via PLB duct pipes is not merely diversification—it positions us as a full-spectrum infrastructure solutions provider aligned with India’s digital transformation goals.”
He added that the company remains committed to advanced manufacturing and quality assurance systems. With the telecom sector driven by government connectivity initiatives and private investment, Malpani Pipes anticipates strong growth in this domain.
Future Outlook:
With BSNL certification secured, the company now holds formal access to participate in national fibre rollout programmes and associated telecom projects. This strengthens its credibility in a quality-sensitive and regulated industry while opening a new revenue stream complementary to its existing verticals.
As BSNL advances its digital infrastructure projects across both rural and urban regions, Malpani Pipes and Fittings Limited is prepared to expand its telecom offerings with efficiency, reliability, and long-term execution capabilities.
