Synergy Advanced Metals Appoints Apurva Chandra As Director

Synergy Advanced Metals Limited has appointed Apurva Chandra as an Independent Director, effective October 15, 2025. The appointment strengthens the company’s Board with extensive public sector experience and policy expertise.

Chandra brings more than 32 years of experience from his tenure with the Government of India, having served across several key ministries, including Health and Family Welfare, Information and Broadcasting, Labour and Employment, and Defence. His background offers valuable insights into governance, administration and strategic policymaking.

Welcoming the appointment, Anubhav Kathuria, Managing Director of Synergy Advanced Metals Limited, said the company is pleased to have Chandra join the Board. He noted that Chandra’s policy understanding, administrative experience and strategic perspective will contribute meaningfully to the company’s governance framework and decision-making processes.

The appointment follows the recent induction of Neelkamal Darbari, former Chairperson of the National Authority for the Chemical Weapons Convention, Government of India, and Arundhati Kar as Independent Directors.
