MoRTH Achieves Full Success in Special Campaign 5.0

The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) has successfully concluded the Special Campaign for Disposal of Pending Matters 5.0, conducted from 2 to 31 October 2025. The initiative, launched by Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways Harsh Malhotra with the Swachhata Pledge at Transport Bhawan, focused on cleanliness and faster disposal of pending issues.
MoRTH achieved 100 per cent targets in record management, clearing 18,616 old physical and electronic files, along with extensive cleanliness activities. More than 15,000 sites—including offices, construction camps, national highway stretches, toll plazas, wayside amenities, bus stops and flyovers—were cleaned during the campaign.
The Ministry reached 99 per cent disposal of public grievances (1,147) and grievance appeals (522). It also cleared 92 per cent of pending MP references and disposed of 10 out of 13 pending PMO references. Space optimisation efforts freed over 220 sq ft of office area and removed more than 640 kg of scrap material.
A notable initiative introduced during the campaign was the ‘Report a Dirty NH Toilet and Get Rewarded’ challenge, encouraging public participation in monitoring cleanliness at toll plazas.
Weekly reviews by the Secretary, regular follow-ups by the nodal officer and field inspections by senior officials ensured steady progress. Key inspection areas included office premises, waste management, toll plazas, flyovers, NH stretches, potholes and lighting systems. Officers from MoRTH, NHAI and NHIDCL actively contributed to the campaign.
Social media platforms such as X, Instagram and Facebook were used extensively to amplify the reach of the initiative.
