BMRCL Signs 13-Year Deal to Boost Mobile Connectivity on Namma Metro

Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has signed a 13-year licence agreement with Advanced Communications and Electronics Systems Company (ACES) India Private Limited to deploy and operate telecom infrastructure across Phase II of Namma Metro in Bengaluru.
The contract, inked on 14 July, covers installation, operation and maintenance of telecom equipment such as In-Building Solutions (IBS), Base Transceiver Stations (BTS), cellular towers and poles at metro stations across the four Phase I extensions and Reach-5 and Reach-6 of Phase II.
BMRCL Managing Director M. Maheshwar Rao said the infrastructure will support multiple mobile network operators, reduce duplication, lower deployment costs and accelerate the rollout of advanced 4G and 5G services. Commuters can expect seamless mobile connectivity throughout their journeys on these corridors.
