BMRCL to complete extended Namma Metro line

The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation (BMRCL) has begun work on an open web girder that will span a railroad track in east Bengaluru. The construction of an open-web girder is part of Namma Metro's Phase II extended metro line from Baiyappanahalli to Whitefield.

BMRCL has begun testing a 15-km metro line between KR Puram and Whitefield. The trial runs on the section from Baiyappanahalli to KR Puram only after constructing the open web girder after laying tracks and installing signalling equipment. BMRCL started work after getting clearance from South Western Railway (SWR).
