Concord Secures Rs 2.799 Billion Kavach Order

Concord Control Systems announced that its associate company, Progota India, has received a domestic order worth Rs 2.799 billion from Indian Railways for the supply, installation, testing and commissioning of on-board Kavach 4.0 loco equipment.

The order is scheduled for execution within 12 months. The company said the contract strengthens its role in India’s railway safety and signalling ecosystem, as Indian Railways continues to expand deployment of indigenous automatic train protection technology.

Kavach is designed to improve railway operational safety by helping prevent signal passing at danger and reducing collision risks. Concord said the mandate reinforces stakeholder confidence in its technology, quality standards and execution capabilities.

The development marks another step in the company’s contribution to India’s rail modernisation programme and its focus on delivering technology-led solutions for safer railway operations.
