IRCTC, Delhi Metro Rail Sign MoU for OR code--based tickets

In order to offer DMRC tickets with QR codes via the IRCTC platform, the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCT) and the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Monday.

According to the press release, the effort would help passengers of the IRCTC and the DMRC by expediting the travel process and cutting down on the amount of time spent in station lines.

In the first quarter of the current fiscal year (Q1FY24), IRCTC's standalone net profit decreased by 5.42 percent to Rs 232.21 crore from Rs 245.52 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

The overall revenue for the first quarter of FY24 was Rs 1,040.99 crore, up 18.69% from the same period last year (YoY) when it stood at Rs 877 crore.
