RailTel Secures LoI From Thane Municipal Corporation

RailTel Corporation of India Ltd. (RailTel) has informed the stock exchange that it has received a Letter of Intent from Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) to act as technology partner for the development, upgradation, implementation, operation and maintenance of the DigiThane Citizen Engagement Platform for a period of 10 years.

The disclosure states that the engagement is domestic and that the estimated size of the order as per the LoI is Rs 136 million (Rs 136 mn) including tax.

The company indicated that the LoI was received on 29 June 2026 at 20:30 and that the formal execution deadline is 28 June 2036.

The announcement clarified that the role covers technology development, system upgradation, implementation, operation and ongoing maintenance of citizen facing modules and backend integration with municipal systems.

RailTel said the order is not a related party transaction and that neither the promoter nor the promoter group has any interest in the contracting entity.

The company added that the filing was made within the required timeframe and that the issuance was approved by the executive director for the western region.

The letter of intent values the contract at Rs 136 mn and the company will proceed with detailed project planning and resource allocation following formal contract award.

RailTel will be responsible for delivery of agreed milestones over the 10 year operational term and for sustaining platform performance and support standards.

The work scope envisages both initial implementation phases and long term application hosting and maintenance.

The disclosure, provided in line with SEBI listing rules and the regulator master circular, was submitted as an annexure to the corporate filing and notes that the document is computer generated.

Stakeholders will receive further updates when the definitive work order or contract is executed and when additional contractual milestones are reached.

The company recorded that there are no delays in reporting and that customary compliance and approvals have been completed.
