Airfloa Rail Technology rose one point three three per cent to Rs 382 after announcing a strategic joint venture with Big Bang Boom Solutions (BBBS), a defence technology firm specialising in electronic warfare, AI-based autonomous systems and advanced materials.

Under the joint venture, Airfloa will hold a 51 per cent stake and BBBS 49 per cent, creating a dedicated manufacturing platform for BBBS’s current and future defence programmes in India.

The collaboration covers electronic warfare systems, AI-driven autonomous defence solutions, high-precision components, advanced materials, and defence-grade system integration and testing. The partnership is expected to accelerate the industrialisation of defence products, strengthen export capabilities and target high-growth segments such as UAVs and advanced materials.

Separately, Airfloa Rail Technology has secured a domestic order from the Integral Coach Factory (ICF), Chennai, for the supply and installation of wider LHB coach windows (1460×700 mm) with sliding shutters for non-AC coaches. The contract is valued at Rs 28.7 million (Rs 2.87 crore), with completion scheduled by 31 October 2026.

The company stated that the order does not involve any related-party transactions, and no promoter or group entity has any interest in the awarding authority.

Airfloa Rail Technology primarily manufactures components used in rolling stock for Indian Railways, supplying through production units such as the Integral Coach Factory and other coach factories. It also undertakes turnkey interior furnishing projects for the railways. In the aerospace and defence sectors, the firm manufactures intricate, highly engineered and mission-critical components, serving both domestic railway units and global rolling stock OEMs.
