SPML Infra Wins Rs 10.73 Bn Water Supply Project in Indore under AMRUT 2.0

SPML Infra, a leading Indian water infrastructure development company, has secured a Rs 10.73 billion contract from the Indore Municipal Corporation for the augmentation of the city’s water supply system under the AMRUT 2.0 programme. The project also includes a 10-year Operation & Maintenance (O&M) contract, ensuring long-term sustainability and performance. 
The project aims to significantly upgrade Indore’s water infrastructure, providing reliable access to safe drinking water for over 2 million citizens.

Key Scope of Work
  • Intake & Pumping: Construction of a 1,650 MLD raw water intake system with a modern pump house.
  • Water Treatment Plant: Development of a 400 MLD water treatment facility with advanced technology to meet stringent water quality standards.
  • Pumping & Transmission: Installation of clear water booster stations, pumping mains, and a 22 km pipeline network with diameters ranging from 1200 mm to 2337 mm.
  • Power Infrastructure: Establishment of a 132/33 kV substation to ensure seamless power supply to the system.
  • Operations & Maintenance: A comprehensive 10-year O&M contract with structured escalation provisions for optimal performance.
The EPC portion of the project is expected to be completed within 30 months (including rainy seasons) from contract signing.

VE Commercial Vehicles, a joint venture between Volvo Group and Eicher Motors, recorded sales of 7,318 units in April 2026, compared to 6,846 units in April 2025, registering 6.9 per cent growth.
