ACME Solar Secures 301 MW FDRE Project From SECI

ACME Solar has secured a 301 megawatt (MW) and 1,204 megawatt hour (MWh) firm and dispatchable renewable energy project from the Solar Energy Corporation of India in an e-reverse auction held on Thursday, February five, 2026. The firm and dispatchable renewable energy project combines advanced solar and wind generation with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) to enable reliable energy dispatch during peak demand and non-solar hours. The company said the award was part of the SECI FDRE-VII round and that a formal Letter of Award is expected to be signed soon.

The winning bid requires the supply of four MWh per MW of contracted capacity for any four hours each day during non-solar hours while ensuring availability of 70 per cent on a monthly basis and 85 per cent on an annual basis. The structure obliges the developer to provide assured peak supply and supports grid stability by delivering energy when solar output is not available. Project operation will therefore be designed to meet dispatch obligations and availability metrics stipulated by SECI.

Following the award ACME Solar's diversified portfolio reaches 8,071 MW of contracted capacity across solar, wind, storage, hybrid, FDRE and round the clock solutions. The scale of the portfolio reflects ongoing additions of storage and hybrid assets which are intended to strengthen the company's ability to provide firm power products. The company's integrated approach seeks to address peak demand and support renewable integration at scale.

ICRA Limited has assigned an AA-/Stable credit rating to ACME Sikar Solar Pvt Ltd for Rs 12,090 million (mn) of long-term debt, a development expected to underpin financing for the project pipeline. The award and the rating together are positioned to reinforce ACME Solar's capacity to deliver assured peak supply to the grid.
