BLUETTI Showcases Bio-Based Portable Power Station at CES 2026

At CES 2026, BLUETTI has recently unveiled the Elite 100 V2, a partially bio-based edition of its portable power station, highlighting the growing role of advanced materials in sustainable energy solutions. The new model features a housing made from Bayblend® RE polycarbonate supplied by Covestro, attributed with 25 per cent bio-based raw materials through mass balance accounting.

According to the companies, the material can reduce the housing’s CO2 footprint by more than one-fifth compared to conventional polycarbonate, while maintaining durability and safety. The collaboration demonstrates how material innovation can support low-carbon design without compromising performance or aesthetics.

BLUETTI stated that the Elite 100 V2 has been engineered to match the long service life of its LiFePO4 battery, which is designed for over 4,000 charging cycles. The housing material offers high impact resistance, UV stability and compliance with UL 94 V-0 flame-retardant standards, ensuring safe operation under demanding outdoor conditions.

The Bayblend® RE grade is part of Covestro’s CQ (Circular Intelligence) portfolio and incorporates renewable inputs derived from bio-waste and biological residues. In addition to sustainability benefits, the material allows refined surface textures and flexible colour options, supporting evolving consumer preferences for premium design.

The Elite 100 V2 is being presented at the BLUETTI booth at CES and is scheduled for global availability, underlining how partnerships between energy solution providers and material innovators are shaping the next generation of durable, low-carbon portable power products.
