KPI Green Advances GUVNL Solar Project Ahead Of Schedule

KPI Green Energy Limited has achieved an early milestone in its 250 MW AC / 350 MW DC grid-connected solar independent power producer (IPP) project awarded by Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL), with the successful commissioning of the first 24.2 MW AC / 34.4 MW DC capacity ahead of the overall contractual schedule.

The project is part of the 250 MW AC (350 MW DC) grid-connected solar photovoltaic power project awarded to KPI Green Energy through a competitive bidding process under RFS No. GUVNL / 500 MW / Solar (Phase-XXIV) dated March 15, 2024, issued by GUVNL for the procurement of power from grid-connected solar projects across India.

With a contractual completion timeline extending to October 2026, the project is progressing steadily in line with KPI Green Energy’s execution milestones and performance benchmarks. The early commissioning of the initial tranche underscores the company’s strong project management capabilities, engineering expertise and commitment to timely and disciplined execution.

The remaining project capacity is expected to be implemented at a similar pace, maintaining high standards of efficiency, quality and execution excellence. As India accelerates its transition towards clean energy, KPI Green Energy continues to focus on delivering renewable energy projects responsibly, supporting sustainable growth while building resilient and future-ready energy infrastructure.

Gujarat Pushes Biogas Growth With 193 Operational Units

Gujarat has operationalised 193 biogas plants across the state and is planning to add 60 more units as part of a broader push to scale up clean and sustainable energy solutions. The existing plants, established under various government-supported schemes, process organic waste including cattle dung and agricultural residue to produce biogas and a nutrient-rich slurry. The output is mainly used for cooking and other energy needs in rural and semi-urban communities, while also improving local waste management practices. The Gujarat Energy Development Agency (GEDA) is leading the initiative and is..
