Premier Energies Commissions 5.6 GW Solar Plant in Telangana

Premier Energies has commissioned a five point six gigawatt (GW) solar module plant in Telangana as part of a Rs 125 billion (bn) capital expenditure plan. The facility expands the company's manufacturing footprint and will produce photovoltaic modules for utility scale and distributed projects. The commissioning marks a significant step in the firm's strategy to scale domestic module output. The plant's commissioning follows completion of construction and equipment installation overseen by the company's engineering teams.

The plant will increase domestic module manufacturing capacity and strengthen the supply chain for renewable energy projects across India. It integrates automated production lines and quality testing to meet industry standards and support consistent module supply. The project also encompasses facilities for downstream assembly and logistics coordination. Quality assurance processes are integrated into production to ensure long term performance and warranty compliance.

The Rs 125 billion (bn) capex plan under which the plant was built reflects an ambition to address rising demand for clean power equipment. Premier Energies is deploying advanced cell and module technologies at the site and has established links with suppliers to secure critical inputs.
