Waaree Wins $176 Mn Order for Solar Module Supply in the US

Waaree Energies announced that it had signed a $176 million agreement with a US-based independent power producer to supply 586 MW of solar modules.

According to a company statement, the modules will be manufactured at Waaree Solar Americas' facility located in Brookshire, Texas, and are expected to be delivered during the fiscal years 2026–27 across four different projects.

Sunil Rathi, President of Waaree Solar Americas, stated that the agreement demonstrated Waaree’s strong commitment to establishing a resilient, robust, and technologically advanced clean energy supply chain in the United States.

Earlier in January, the Mumbai-headquartered company had announced the commencement of commercial production of solar modules at its US manufacturing facility.

Waaree Energies is recognized as India’s leading renewable energy company, with a global installed capacity of 15 GW for solar PV modules, which includes 1.3 GW from Indosolar and 1.6 GW in Texas, USA.

Additionally, the company operates a 1.4 GW cell manufacturing facility with plans for an expansion capacity of 5.4 GW.
