Foundation stone to be laid of Kasganj bridge over river Ganga

Foundation stone of a 1.6 km long two-lane bridge over river Ganga in Kasganj District, is expected to be laid by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister. Around Rs 11 crore have been sanctioned by the state government for the first phase of construction. The aim of the project is to increase connectivity and decrease the commuting time between Alipur and Barwala and the Sahaswan area of Badaun district. Deadline for the project, which is expected to cost over Rs 100 crore, is December 2016.
