L&T bags several orders for construction and mining equipment

Engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) giant Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has won numerous orders for the supply of 90 units of Komatsu mining equipment from Coal India subsidiaries, infrastructure companies engaged with the coal sector and customers from the cement and iron ore sectors.

The order includes maintenance contracts for supporting operations over three to four years and supply of equipments—66 units of Komatsu 100 tonne and 60 tonne dump trucks, seven units of Komatsu hydraulic excavators, 15 units of Komatsu wheel loaders and allied equipment.

Commenting on this order, SN Subrahmanyan, MD and CEO, L&T, called the flood of orders a strong indication of the revival in the mining industry, driven by the progressive and supportive policies.
