METALTECH & AUTOMEX marks 30th year in Kuala Lumpur

METALTECH & AUTOMEX 2026 will return for its 30th anniversary from 20–23 May 2026 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre, positioning itself as a key platform for advanced manufacturing and automation technologies.
The milestone edition will be held under the theme “Powering Industrial Excellence, Redefining Smart and Sustainable Manufacturing,” reflecting the industry’s shift towards intelligent automation, digital integration, and sustainability-led production.
Over three decades, the exhibition has evolved from a conventional metalworking showcase into a comprehensive platform covering machine tools, robotics, precision engineering, digital factory systems, and sustainable manufacturing solutions. It now serves as a strategic meeting ground for global technology providers, regional manufacturers, and decision-makers.
Manufacturing in Malaysia continues to be a key economic driver, recording nearly RM1.97 trillion in sales in 2025, according to official data. The sector is undergoing rapid transformation through adoption of Industry 4.0 technologies such as AI, Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), and digital twin systems, alongside increasing focus on energy efficiency and ESG alignment.
Organised by Informa Markets Malaysia, the exhibition will span six halls, enabling participants to evaluate emerging technologies, compare solutions, and explore partnerships aimed at improving productivity and sustainability.
Geonice Chong, Deputy Event Director, said, “As METALTECH & AUTOMEX enters its 30th year, we are proud to celebrate how far the manufacturing industry has advanced. Our 2026 theme underscores the vital role that innovation plays in shaping resilient, future-ready factories.”
The event is expected to attract business leaders, engineers, investors, and procurement specialists, reinforcing cross-border collaboration and supply chain connectivity across the region.
