CREDAI-MCHI meets Maharashtra Revenue Minister on issues

Navin’s, a Chennai-based real estate developer, has won the 17th CIDC Vishwakarma Award 2026 for its residential project Navin’s Hanging Gardens located on Arcot Road, Valasaravakkam. The award was presented by the Construction Industry Development Council (CIDC) under the category of Best Construction Projects, recognising the development’s achievement in innovation, design excellence and sustainability.

The award was received by Chandrasekar PN, General Manager, Technical, Navin’s, at the ceremony held in New Delhi.

Inspired by the legendary Hanging Gardens of Babylon, the project has been designed as a contemporary urban reinterpretation that blends heritage concepts with modern residential planning. According to the company, the development aims to go beyond conventional housing by creating a lifestyle-driven environment with a distinctive architectural identity.

CIDC’s recognition highlights the project’s bold structural design, unconventional layouts, and integration of vertical green spaces and expansive terraces. The development also reflects a collaborative architectural process, where multiple architects contributed diverse design perspectives to shape a unified yet layered structure, giving each space its own character.

Navin’s said the planning process was refined through multiple iterations, with a focus on offering differentiated living spaces rather than standardised residential configurations.

Sustainability was a key focus area for the project, which is IGBC certified with a high rating. The project incorporates green building principles such as improved natural light and ventilation, water conservation measures, and efficient use of materials.

Commenting on the recognition, Kalyanaraman, Chief Operating Officer, Navin’s, said, "We are honoured to receive the 17th CIDC Vishwakarma Award. This recognition reinforces our commitment to pushing boundaries in residential design while staying focused on sustainability and customer needs. It serves as a reference point for our future projects and underscores Navin's continued dedication to creating distinctive residential experiences."
