Hyderabad-based DEC Infrastructure and Projects (India) Pvt Ltd has won a major contract worth Rs 20 billion for constructing modern residential facilities for central government employees in New Delhi. The Central Public Works Department (CPWD) awarded the project through a Letter of Acceptance for the redevelopment of the general pool residential colony at Sriniwaspuri.

The project will deliver 3,112 two-bedroom flats, each covering 1,100 sq ft, across 16 blocks on a 20.86-acre site. The high-rise development will include a single basement, stilt and three-level podium parking, a multi-level car park, a community centre, and a Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) dispensary. The contract also covers development works and services on an EPC (Mode-I) basis, along with five years of maintenance and operations after completion.

DEC Infrastructure Chairman and Managing Director Anirudh Gupta said the project reflects the company’s commitment to building high-quality facilities in both public and private sectors. Whole Time Director Ravinder Gupta added that the agreement recognises DEC’s expertise in executing large-scale projects in the national capital.

Recently, the company secured a Rs 3.17 billion contract for conservation and retrofitting works at North Block in New Delhi. DEC is currently handling projects worth over Rs 100 billion nationwide, including the Telangana Institute of Medical Sciences in Alwal, medical colleges in Ramagundam and Mancherial, and a prisons complex in Siddipet.

Two other high-profile projects under execution are the Rs 22 billion redevelopment of New Delhi Railway Station and the Rs 2.95 billion Central Cabinet Minister Chambers, while NBCC India Ltd has awarded DEC a Rs 25 billion residential colony project in Noida.
