Action TESA Redefines Engineered Wood In India

Before Action TESA entered the market, the engineered wood segment lacked clarity, confidence and direction. Consumers were uncertain, carpenters were hesitant and adoption remained limited. Over the past 15 years, Action TESA has transformed this landscape, creating an entirely new category and reshaping how engineered wood is perceived and used across India.

The journey began in 2010 at Sitarganj with just two products—particle board and MDF—driven by a clear vision to make engineered wood the future of furniture. This vision gained momentum in 2014 with the launch of Action TESA HDHMR, a breakthrough product that set new benchmarks for strength, stability and precision. HDHMR played a pivotal role in bringing engineered wood into the mainstream, establishing confidence and credibility among both consumers and professionals.

Action TESA differentiated itself by focusing on education as much as innovation. The brand invested heavily in training carpenters, empowering them to adopt engineered wood with confidence and efficiency. This approach modernised traditional craftsmanship, enabling faster, smarter and more sustainable furniture-making practices.

As the category matured, Action TESA continued to innovate. The success of HDHMR was followed by advanced products such as BWP Boilo, Abraze, Moist Master and laminated wooden flooring, each raising standards in performance, aesthetics and application. Together, these offerings completed the engineered wood segment and reinforced Action TESA’s leadership across categories.

Through its Studio on Wheels initiative, the brand extended its reach nationwide, taking product demonstrations, applications and technical expertise directly to stakeholders. While the first two phases covered more than 37,510 kilometres, the third phase completed nationwide coverage, ensuring the brand’s presence in every Indian state and strengthening market familiarity.

Beyond manufacturing, Action TESA has positioned itself as a responsible corporate citizen. Its skill development programme for carpenters’ wards, run in collaboration with MSME Sitarganj, supports sustainable livelihoods for the next generation. In FY 2024–25, the company distributed over 6.4 million saplings, adopted a local government hospital and upgraded it into a modern medical facility, and supported students across seven schools with educational and sports materials.

Continuing its growth trajectory, Action TESA is setting up a new manufacturing facility in Visakhapatnam with comparable capacity and advanced infrastructure, marking another milestone in its expansion and long-term commitment to responsible growth.

Anchored by five core pillars—Intelligence, Inside, Trust, Connect and Salaam—Action TESA has not only built a category but also changed perceptions and earned lasting trust across the industry.
