Amit Shah to Address KRIBHCO National Cooperative Meet in Haryana

Amit Shah, Union Minister of Home Affairs and Cooperation, will address a National Cooperative Conference organised by Krishak Bharati Cooperative (KRIBHCO) in Panchkula, Haryana, on December 24, 2025. The conference, titled “Prosperity through Cooperation – Role of Cooperatives in Sustainable Agriculture”, will be held at the Indradhanush Auditorium and will focus on strengthening cooperative-led agricultural development in the country.

The conference aims to deliberate on policy and implementation-related aspects to promote sustainable agriculture, expand the role of Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS), ensure income stability for small and marginal farmers, and reinforce cooperative-based agricultural models in the context of climate change. The event aligns with the vision of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s “Prosperity through Cooperation” and the Ministry of Cooperation’s efforts to strengthen the cooperative ecosystem at the grassroots level.

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini will attend the conference as a Special Guest. Union Ministers of State for Cooperation Krishan Pal Gurjar and Murlidhar Mohol, Haryana Minister of Cooperation Dr Arvind Kumar Sharma, and Haryana Minister for Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Shyam Singh Rana are also expected to participate.

On the occasion, Amit Shah, Union Minister of Home Affairs and Cooperation, Government of India, will e-inaugurate the Milk Cooling Centre at Salempur (Bhiwani) and the HAFED Atta Mill at Jatusana (Rewari). He will also distribute RuPay Platinum Debit Cards to beneficiaries of cooperative banks in Haryana and hand over registration certificates to presidents of newly established multi-purpose PACS supported by KRIBHCO. In addition, the Minister will inaugurate a portal highlighting activities undertaken during the International Year of Cooperatives (IYC).

The conference will emphasise the exchange of advanced agricultural knowledge, access to affordable credit, adoption of modern technologies, and promotion of organic and climate-resilient farming practices through cooperatives. Senior officials from the Union Ministry of Cooperation, KRIBHCO, the Government of Haryana, and representatives from cooperative institutions, PACS, and farmer organisations will take part. KRIBHCO said the conference would provide fresh momentum to India’s cooperative movement during the International Year of Cooperatives 2025.
