The GREENEXT Expo 2025 concluded successfully on September 27 at the Shanghai Exhibition Center, reaffirming its status as one of China’s most influential platforms for sustainability transformation. Shanghai, September 27, 2025 – The 2025 edition of GREENEXT Expo, China’s leading greening and accelerator platform, focused on the pillars of Sustainability Innovation × Cross-Sector Collaboration × Business. The event’s core theme revolved around transforming sustainability from abstract discussion into actionable practice.

“Sustainability is a journey carried by tangible solutions—from product design to business models, from technological innovation to cultural expression, transforming green ideals into perceptible, tangible, and communicable practices.” — Dr Hong Zheng, Founder of GREENEXT

Practical Solutions for Real-World Impact GREENEXT 2025 featured more than 200 scalable solutions across six thematic zones, highlighting innovation in key sectors:

"Fashion Forward: Presented circular economy models for textiles, with participation from global brands such as adidas and the Ellassay Group. " Living Earth: Explored regenerative connections between nature and commerce, featuring transparent “field to bottle” supply chains from exhibitors like The Macallan. " Green for Next: Focused on corporate resilience, ESG disclosure, and low-carbon manufacturing, with contributions from HKRI Taikoo Hui and Tencent CarbonXmade.

The Expo also examined four emerging commercial scenarios — Urban Regeneration, Global Expansion, Technological Innovation, and Public Good Integration — reflecting how sustainability drives long-term competitiveness.

The conference hosted 183 experts across 77 sessions, fostering global cooperation through participation from diplomatic representatives of Finland, Norway, Belgium, and Denmark. Discussions redefined premium commerce through sustainability.

“The Third Aesthetic of Commercial Spaces: Making Sustainability the New Luxury.” — Ruifang Ding, Co-General Manager, HKRI Taikoo Hui

Empowering Future Talent and Responsible Growth The event also launched several forward-looking initiatives:

" Establishment of the Shanghai Population Welfare Foundation Sustainable Development Fund to align philanthropy with corporate responsibility. " Release of the Youth Action Guide for Sustainable Development to inspire young innovators. " Recognition of leaders at the Global Sustainable Fashion Consumption Industry Pioneer Awards.
