KBL Secures NABL Accreditation for Pump Testing Lab

Kirloskar Brothers has secured NABL accreditation for its Hydraulic Research Centre Pump Testing Laboratory at its Kirloskarvadi plant in Maharashtra. The certification, aligned with ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standards, validates the laboratory’s competence in testing a wide range of roto dynamic pumps, including centrifugal, mixed flow and axial variants.

The accreditation positions the company as the only pump manufacturer globally to achieve this recognition, reinforcing its engineering and testing capabilities. It enables independently validated performance data, eliminating the need for third-party re-testing and accelerating approvals in regulated procurement across sectors such as water, power, irrigation and defence.

As a signatory to international recognition frameworks, NABL-accredited results are accepted across more than 100 countries, strengthening the company’s export potential. The development comes at a time when India’s pump market continues to expand, supported by infrastructure growth and increasing demand for certified, quality-assured solutions.

Commenting on the milestone, Sanjay Kirloskar said, “The NABL accreditation reflects our focus on quality and precision. It strengthens our ability to support infrastructure growth with testing capabilities that meet global standards.”

The accreditation enhances the company’s testing credibility while supporting its broader focus on delivering reliable and technologically advanced pumping solutions for domestic and international markets.
