Ministry of Cooperation Inaugurates NCOL Organic Packaging Facility

The Ministry of Cooperation inaugurated a new state-of-the-art packaging facility of National Cooperative Organics Limited (NCOL) in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. The centre is dedicated to packaging pulses and organic products while maintaining high hygiene and quality standards.

Dr Ashish Kumar Bhutani, Secretary, Ministry of Cooperation, called the facility a major milestone in promoting the Bharat Organics brand. The initiative aims to empower farmers and expand access to certified organic produce across India, while offering premium prices to farmers and affordable organic food to consumers.

Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah, the ministry is taking steps to enhance market access for organic farmers. Bharat Organics already offers 21 certified organic products, available across over 200 SAFAL outlets, e-commerce platforms, and retail stores.

Mother Dairy will distribute Bharat Organics products through its channels, ensuring greater accessibility for consumers. NCOL emphasises authenticity, with every batch tested for more than 245 pesticide residues.

Established in 2023, NCOL serves as an umbrella body for aggregation, procurement, testing, branding, and marketing of organic products produced by the cooperative sector, supporting the "Sahkar se Samriddhi" national vision.
