Ramky Wins Rs 14,018.4 Million Contract for Dighi Port Area

Ramky Infrastructure Ltd has secured a Rs 14,018.4 million (mn) contract from Maharashtra Industrial Township Limited for infrastructure works at the Dighi Port Industrial Area. The contract award covers comprehensive sewerage, stormwater management and water supply systems tailored to an industrial area setting. The company will deliver integrated industrial solutions aimed at improving utility infrastructure and environmental management within the designated zone. The announcement follows a tender process managed by the state entity.

The contract value equates to Rs 14,018.4 million after conversion from 1,401.84 crore, reflecting the scale of the engineering and construction assignment. Project deliverables are expected to include networked sewerage conveyance, stormwater drainage systems and associated water infrastructure designed to meet industrial requirements. The scope emphasises robust systems to manage effluents and surface water flows and to support reliable water services for industrial operations. Technical and operational planning will be undertaken during the initial mobilisation phase.

The award is positioned to support the phased development of the Dighi Port Industrial Area and to enhance the utility backbone required for industrial growth in the region. Implementation of sewerage and stormwater systems is anticipated to improve environmental outcomes by reducing uncontrolled discharges and by managing runoff more effectively. The water supply components are intended to strengthen resource availability and to facilitate industrial activity while aligning with regulatory standards. Stakeholders are expected to monitor progress through established project governance arrangements.

Ramky Infrastructure Ltd, a provider of urban and industrial infrastructure services, will execute the works in collaboration with contractors and consultants appointed for specialised tasks. Maharashtra Industrial Township Limited will oversee compliance and integration with broader industrial area planning and port-adjacent development goals. The contract award underlines ongoing investment in infrastructure to support industrialisation and to attract further economic activity to the Dighi Port vicinity. The companies involved will disclose further implementation details as the project advances.

Contracts, Corridors and Cash Flows

India’s roads sector enters 2026 at a decisive junction, where the conversation is no longer about kilometres alone but contracts that allocate risk wisely, corridors that unlock economic value, and cash flows that remain credible over the long term. The Walled Garden

I am not suggesting Indian architects are inadequate. The profession has produced extraordinary work – from Charles Correa's quiet humanism to Balkrishna Doshi's Nobel-recognised genius. However, the regulatory barriers meant to protect the profession are holding it back. It is time for an honest conversation about this. The Architects Act of 1972 established the Council of Architecture (COA) as the statutory body regulating architecture practice in India. Its founding logic was sound: to ensure those calling themselves architects meet a minimum standard of competence and to protect the publi..
