6000 EV charging stations across Indian Highways by end of FY24

KICK-EV, one of the newest entrants in electric 2 wheeler segment along with AUTO i CARE, India’s premiere roadside assistance provider has kick-started their nationwide plan to launch their autonomous EV charging and service stations across Indian highways by end of FY24. This is in preparation of the launch of the KICK-EV 2 wheeler variants. The service and charging stations will initially benefit the KICK-EV 2 wheelers and later adapting to the EV 2 wheeler universe by catering to various other EV 2 wheeler brands in India.

The goal is to install more than 6000 state of the art charging and service stations across India with around 1000 across Maharashtra, Goa, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Karnataka to be launched in phase 1. Maharashtra will see the highest number of EV charging stations to be set-up. This will be one of the largest semi-public EV charging networks in the country.

Sagar Joshi, Founder & CEO, AUTO i CARE and KICK-EV said “India is on track to become the world's third-largest economy in under a decade from now. And to be a part of the positive growth, we are covering the entire stretch of Indian Highways with semi-public EV charging points and service stations which will enable smooth travel to various parts of the country. Besides highways, the other main locations will be large urban centers, rural areas bordering the highways, airports, residential & commercial complexes, hotels, near major traffic routes.”

With the EV charging and service stations rolling out in phases, the company has further aimed at introducing the latest technology, develop EV Charging infrastructure with ease of access to charging stations anywhere in the country.

He further added, “With the intervention of AUTO i CARE expertise, consumers can use mobile apps for ease in finding the charging station to facilitating payments and more”.
