Indian Railways awards Mobility Solutions Rs 1 bn contract

Mobility Solutions (MSL) announced on that they had secured a contract worth Rs 1 billion from Indian Railways. According to MSL's statement, the contract involves the delivery and installation of various essential components for the Vande Bharat Express. The company stated that they are currently in the process of fulfilling the order.

MSL, a subsidiary of the diversified JCBL Group, specialises in manufacturing a wide range of railway interior solutions, including FRP (fibre-reinforced plastic), GRP (glass-reinforced plastic), sheet metal, and other materials.

The company revealed that the contract specifies the supply of eight nose cones, 16 sets of interior panelling with toilets, and a total of 16 coaches per set.

The scope of work encompasses the development, supply, and installation of FRP interior panels for the roof, sides, walls, and partitions, as well as toilets with doors, accessories, roller blinds, and other crucial equipment.

MSL also mentioned that their production units are operating at full capacity, and they are confident of completing the delivery within the current financial year. The production is taking place at the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) in Chennai.

Rishi Aggarwal, the Managing Director of JCBL Group, expressed the urgent need to deliver high-quality components for the assembly of Vande Bharat trains as they continue to increase in number.

The latest supply contract from Indian Railways aims to enhance the overall efficiency, reliability, and safety of the Vande Bharat Express, as per MSL's statement.

Furthermore, the company specialises in manufacturing ready-to-use sub-assemblies for seats, windows, bus components, FRP/GRP parts, and other related products.
