RVNL Wins Electrification Deal for AP Rail Sections

Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has secured a Letter of Acceptance (LOA) from South Central Railway for a significant electrification project in Andhra Pradesh. The contract involves the design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning to upgrade the Overhead Equipment (OHE) system from 1x25kV to 2x25kV across key railway routes.
The project will be executed across the Duvvada–Rajahmundry and Samalkot–Kakinada Port sections within the Vijayawada Division, covering 195.5 route kilometres (RKM) or 391 track kilometres (TKM). It includes feeder and grounding installations to support the enhanced OHE infrastructure.
RVNL stated that the contract is in the ordinary course of its business and complies with Regulation 30 of SEBI’s Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements (LODR). The company has also submitted the required declaration under SEBI's 13 July 2023 circular.
This contract underlines RVNL’s key role in advancing Indian Railways' electrification and modernisation goals.
