Maharashtra Signs MoU With Norway’s HYKE AS

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis presided over the signing and exchange of an MoU between the Government of Maharashtra, through the Maharashtra Maritime Board, and Norway-based HYKE AS, according to updates shared on the Chief Minister’s official X (formerly Twitter) handle.

The MoU aims to support the upcoming Mumbai Water Metro Project and expand opportunities in Maharashtra’s water transport sector.

As per the information shared, the agreement will also explore shipbuilding and vessel manufacturing capabilities within the state.

The initiative is expected to promote sustainable and environment-friendly water transport in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region while supporting the development of maritime infrastructure across Maharashtra.
