Haryana CM Saini Launches Rs 113 Crore Projects In Gohana

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini launched and laid foundation stones for 16 development projects worth Rs 113 crore (Rs 1.13 bn) in Gohana on March 29, 2026, at a public rally which the government said was intended to accelerate infrastructure growth. The initiatives were unveiled at a Thanksgiving and development rally in the Gohana Assembly constituency in Sonipat district. The government described the measures as aimed at enhancing civic amenities and modernising municipal services.

Key projects include a sports stadium, a jogging track at Bhagwan Parshuram Heritage Park from Sonipat Chungi to Panipat Chungi, and a multi-storey parking facility to ease congestion. Plans also include expansion of municipal limits and establishment of Shiv Dham on Sonipat Road, along with installation of a 33 kV substation and a tourism resort. A Transport Nagar under the Haryana Shahari Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP) scheme was announced to streamline logistics and commuter services.

The administration said it will allocate plots to social organisations and reconstruct public buildings including the irrigation office, Shakti Bhawan and the rest house. A cardiac catheterisation laboratory will be established at Bhagat Phool Singh Government Medical College to enhance medical services. Development works in schools and improvements to drinking water supply, sewerage systems and roads were also detailed.

The Chief Minister announced an additional Rs five crore for village development in the constituency, which converts to Rs 50 mn, to fund local projects and immediate needs. Officials said the measures are expected to generate short-term employment through construction contracts while creating longer-term benefits through improved services and amenities. The government stated it remains committed to balanced and inclusive development across Haryana with an emphasis on strengthening infrastructure and public services. Departments responsible for implementation were reported to be finalising timelines and monitoring arrangements.
