IHCL Opens Vivanta and Ginger Hotels in Ekta Nagar

The Indian Hotels Company Ltd (IHCL), India’s largest hospitality company, has expanded its presence in Gujarat with the launch of two new hotels — Vivanta Ekta Nagar and Ginger Ekta Nagar. The openings mark IHCL’s debut in Ekta Nagar and were inaugurated as part of the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas 2025 celebrations commemorating the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
Puneet Chhatwal, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, IHCL, said, “Today marks a momentous milestone for IHCL as we proudly unveil two new greenfield hotels in Ekta Nagar. This multi-brand debut reinforces IHCL’s commitment to enhancing India’s tourism landscape and contributing to the development of Ekta Nagar as a world-class destination.”
He added, “With these openings, IHCL now has a portfolio of 39 hotels in Gujarat. Ginger Ekta Nagar marks the brand’s 75th operating hotel, making it the largest mid-scale hospitality brand in the country.”
Located three kilometres from the Statue of Unity, Vivanta Ekta Nagar offers 127 elegantly designed rooms and suites with panoramic views of the Satpura and Vindhya ranges. The hotel features distinctive dining experiences, meeting and event spaces, and a wellness centre with a spa, gym, and outdoor pool. Guests can also explore curated local experiences, including the Narmada Aarti, Shoolpaneshwar Temple, and the Valley of Flowers.
Ginger Ekta Nagar brings IHCL’s signature lean-luxe concept to modern travellers seeking comfort and convenience. The 151-key hotel features a Qmin restaurant serving global and regional cuisine, a fitness centre, and a boardroom for business meetings.
