JAMCO To Set Up Product Engineering Centre In Bengaluru

JAMCO will establish a product engineering centre in Bengaluru to bolster its engineering capabilities and deepen its presence in the Indian market. The centre will focus on product development, testing and technical support for regional customers and suppliers. Company representatives indicated the move aims to accelerate innovation and shorten development cycles. The initiative will comply with local regulatory requirements and established quality standards.

The product engineering centre will house multidisciplinary teams responsible for design, systems integration and validation activities. It will work with procurement and manufacturing partners to improve component engineering and product lifecycle management. The centre will also support aftermarket solutions and technical documentation for local operators. It will coordinate with global engineering groups to align product specifications and best practices.

Bengaluru was chosen for its strong talent pool and ecosystem of engineering and technology firms. The location is expected to foster collaboration with research institutions and specialised vendors to enhance engineering outcomes. The plan is aligned with broader industry efforts to expand domestic technical capabilities. The centre will invest in advanced simulation tools and laboratory capabilities to support rigorous testing.

JAMCO said it will recruit local engineers and create opportunities for skills development through structured training programmes. The company plans to engage with small and medium enterprises to strengthen the regional supply chain and transfer technology where feasible. Investment details and the exact size of the workforce were not disclosed. The recruitment drive will target engineers with experience in systems engineering and product lifecycle roles.

The centre is planned to begin operations in the coming months and will form part of JAMCO's regional strategy for the Asia Pacific. The company expects the facility to improve responsiveness to customer needs and support long term competitiveness. The move is part of a long term commitment to build regional research capacity.
