Kalpataru Projects Wins Rs 44.39 bn In New T&D Orders

Kalpataru Projects International Limited (KPIL) has secured notifications of awards, comfort letters and confirmations of contract consummation totalling Rs 44.39 bn in its Transmission and Distribution (T&D) business. The orders were received in the normal course of business and were announced from the company corporate office in Mumbai. The value reflects awards notified across multiple jurisdictions and forms part of KPIL's year-to-date inflows for fiscal 2026.

The new contracts include an order for a 400 kV transmission line and associated substations in Africa, multiple transmission line projects in India and a substation project in Sweden. These contracts expand KPIL's project portfolio across continents and cover both line construction and substation delivery. The company said the awards were secured through its integrated engineering, procurement and construction capabilities.

The managing director and chief executive officer stated that the company was pleased to announce significant order wins from marquee clients within the rapidly expanding power T&D sector and that the business serves as a vital pillar of the global energy transition. He indicated that the wins allow KPIL to leverage its market-leading position and integrated capabilities to deliver EPC solutions and noted that the additional orders had enabled the company to surpass its annual order intake target of Rs 260 bn. He further noted that the T&D and Buildings and Factories (B&F) businesses accounted for nearly 50 per cent and 40 per cent of fiscal 2026 year-to-date inflows respectively, underscoring strong growth momentum.

Kalpataru Projects International Limited is described as one of the largest specialised EPC companies engaged in power transmission and distribution, buildings and factories, water supply and irrigation, railways, oil and gas pipelines, urban mobility and highways and airports. The company is currently executing projects in over 30 countries and has a global footprint in 75 countries. KPIL said it continues to maintain leadership across its major businesses supported by organisational capabilities, technical know-how and adherence to sustainability standards.
